Jenn: (singing to David while letting him chew on her hand, gasps) JON! (no response--it's hard to hear over the children's music playing in David's room AND the clothes dryer) JON!!! (shouts with more excitement) Come HERE!!!
Jon: (from other room with enthusiasm) Yeah! (enters bathroom and looks at wife holding son's chin and bottom lip with much pride and excitement)
Jenn: Look at our son's new chomper!!!
Jon: Is that a tooth!? How did we miss that?!
Jenn: I think it's a recent development. Like, within the last hour recent... (with a twinge of panic and sadness) Jon, he's growing up so fast!!!
(Jon and Jenn clap and shower their son with praise and affection over his new tooth)
"Mom, I know my new tooth is a big deal, but please let go of my face..."
